POLICE and emergency services are currently attending to casualties at the scene of a two-car collision on the A39 near Bideford.
The accident, near the Instow junction by the Torridge bridge, happened at around 4.10pm today.
A Nissan Patrol estate and a Vauxhall Vectra, travelling in the direction of Barnstaple from Bideford, are understood to be involved.
Ambulance and fire crews are also at the scene and the air ambulance has also been called.

The number of casualties and the extent of their injuries is not yet known at this time.
Police have closed the road at Westleigh and have advised that the road is likely to be closed for some time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
