A young charity champion of just seven years old has raised money for North Devon Hospice by selling sweets outside his home in Braunton. Reuben Rodwell managed to raise £57.61 after hearing from his father how the hospice helps care for local people with life-limiting illnesses. He organised it himself by choosing the sweets, putting up posters, and even setting up the stall. Reubens mother Jane said: We are very proud of what he has done, and so glad that the money raised will be helping a cause like North Devon Hospice, which touches so many local people. He had a lovely time chatting to everyone, and was really pleased with the positive reactions he got. Ali Hunt, head of fundraising at the hospice said: It is just so lovely to see someone so young thinking about other people and taking direct action to help.
