Braunton woman re-appointed to Devon PCT post

MRS Marguerite Shapland, from Braunton, has been re-appointed a non-executive director of the Devon Primary Care Trust.

She takes up the four-year appointment at the end of the month along with Mrs Sally Foxhall and Colin Pincombe, both from the South Hams district.

For the past 15 years, Mrs Shapland has been an elected councillor. She is chairman of North Devon Citizens Advice Bureau, North Devon Poverty Action Group and North Devon Community Alliance.

She is also lay chairman of the Barnstaple Deanery of the Church of England and represents the area on the Exeter Diocesan Synod.
