The day will include a chance to comment on local plans for the village and hear more about flood prevention.

BRAUNTON residents are being invited to an open day in the village on Saturday to hear about local plans and information on the recent flooding.

The event at Braunton Parish Hall will run from 10am until 1pm and provide an opportunity for people to be consulted on the draft air quality action plan for the village and the draft joint local plan.

The Environment Agency will also be present during the day providing information about flood prevention and demonstrations on how to correctly fill sand bags and build a sand bag wall.

At 6pm, Ben Byrom, of West Cross Garage, will also be explaining the recent flooding and presenting a slideshow of photographs.
