A 14-year-old boy has been transferred to hospital in Bristol after he was in collision with a car as he crossed Eastern Avenue in Barnstaple on Monday afternoon.The road was closed after the 3.45pm incident, which took place just past the McDonald's roundabout.At the time of going to press yesterday (Tuesday) police reported the boy had been transferred to Frenchay Hospital after some concern about a head injury.Witnesses to the collision have been asked to come forward and anyone who can help is asked to call the police on 08452 777444.
