Boost for recreation ground

HARTLAND Recreation Ground has benefited from a 1,500 grant given by Torridge District Councillor Brian Redwood from his annual community grant allowance.

Recreation ground secretary Julia Boyle said the money was used to install new showers and changing facilities in the pavilion at the village’s popular and much used playing fields.

Cllr Redwood added: “I know how much these playing fields and pavilion are used by the community here, so when they approached me about a grant for new showers and changing rooms from my annual allowance I was delighted to be able to help out.”
