Bideford fundraisers use Three Peaks conquest to launch new bursary to help those in need.

A keen team of Bideford adventurers took on the four peaks challenge to raise more than £4,600 for charity.

Bluesoup Media presented local charity Edukid with a cheque for £4625.33 - launching its new Bluesoup Bursary to help those in need.

Seven members of the team: Steve Tricker, Ben Duhig, Kate Peters, Rob Peters, Charli Middleton, Leona Miles, Ed Miles and driver Tony Atkinson walked 24 miles, climbing over 10,000 feet and driving more than 450 miles in just one weekend.

They conquered Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

The money they raised will help Edukid support more than 1,800 children in Uganda and Cambodia.

Chris Turner, founder of Edukid, said: "Bluesoup's support has enabled Edukid to grow tremendously over the past few years.

"Without their support some of our projects would not have been able to come to fruition.

"As the company and the staff have become more personally involved it has been great to see the links growing between the countries and the passion that each person has for making a difference."
