THERE is plenty of interplanetary fun in July and August for youngsters visiting Combe Martin Library as its Space Hop Summer Reading Challenge prepares to blast off.

Children enrolling on the challenge are invited to take a consignment of books to the moon in the ship "ExLibris" and set up the first lunar library - avoiding pesky "spacekatz" along the way.

On joining, they receive a poster, scratch 'n' sniff stickers and a medal if they read six books in six weeks.

Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered into a prize draw to win family tickets for Combe Martin Wildlife Park, home of the spacekatz meerkat cousins.
