CHURCH bells which were lost and then found will be re-dedicated at All Saints Church, Merton, on Sunday by the Bishop of Crediton, the Right Rev Bob Evens.

The bells were stolen while they were being repaired and discovered outside a scrap yard in Manchester. They are now ringing again and this will be celebrated on Sunday during the harvest festival service at 10.30am.

Several visiting ringing teams have already been to the church, which would welcome many more. Teams should contact bell captain Chris Laughton on (01805) 281424.

More fund-raising will need to be done soon to pay for new bell ropes.
