The annual South West Birdman Festival is back this Saturday where pilots will be throwing themselves off Ilfracombe pier with hopes of flying the furthest to be the winner of this year’s event.

After running for more than 10 years, watching competitors launch themselves off the pier has never been more entertaining.

Starting from 11am until 10pm this all-day event will have stalls and activities everybody can enjoy

This extremely popular event is organised by Ilfracombe Round Table and has always attracted thousands of people down to the pier for a fun fuelled day for all the family.

As well as the Birdman, from 11am there will be plenty of stalls around the pier with children’s entertainment, food, drinks and live music non stage thoughout the day.

Stay late to enjoy the grand finale which will include an incredible firework display.

Entry is free so come and support Birdman this year for an amazing day out with family and friends.
