CLOSE-UP views of infrequent bird visitors to the UK were enjoyed by Taw and Exmoor branch of the British Naturalists' Association on a trip to the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust at Slimbridge, Gloucestershire. These included smew, ferruginous drck and Barrows goldeneye. Hides outside the enclosed areas also enabled sight of an enormous number of wild birds.
