Big steps for North Devon chemotherapy appeal

TWENTY five people will be taking a big step to raise cash for the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal on Saturday.

They will be stepping out of an aeroplane 15,000 feet above Dunkeswell airfield in sponsored skydives.

Among them will be 33-year-old Laura Beer, a staff nurse at the North Devon District Hospital chemotherapy unit.

This is something Laura has never done before and she admits to being quite frightened by heights. But she would be brave and bite the bullet, she said, because she wanted to raise money towards the new chemotherapy unit and because she felt patients were brave in what they went through.

If anyone wants to sponsor Laura and help the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal they can do so by going to www.justgiving.com/Laura Beer.
