TORRIDGE District Council has won a national customer satisfaction award.The council's Local Land Charges team received the Customer Satisfaction for Personal Searches Award at the Local Land Charges Industry Achievement Awards at the Blackpool Hilton.The awards acknowledge the work and achievements of Local Land Charges officers around the country and give recognition to those local authorities which are playing a key role in modernising and shaping the future of the industry.Kevin Crowl, senior local land charges officer at Torridge, said: "We have a great Local Land Charges team who work extremely hard to deliver a professional and efficient service to all of our customers. "To win a national customer satisfaction award is a fantastic achievement. The recognition of our efforts and commitment to the service that we deliver is a great reward."Torridge already has some ideas for service improvements in the pipeline. One is to engage directly with local solicitors, estate agents and property search companies through a series of new customer forum groups.
