Last posting date is December 11 for hand-delivered Christmas cards and greetings in the Bideford area.

SCOUTS in the Bideford area are preparing for a busy season as they deliver local Christmas cards and greetings to the community.

Stamps go on sale in a variety of outlets for people to buy for 25p each, then cards can be posted in a number of special post boxes.

The boxes are emptied on a daily basis and sorted by scouts, parents and leaders from the 2nd Bideford Scout Group, 1st Edgehill and Torridge Scout Group and Torridge Explorer Scout Group.

The youngsters, accompanied by an adult, will then deliver Christmas cards to addresses in the local community, up until Wednesday, December 11.
