Dedicated Bideford fundraiser Kenny May was shorn of his locks for the eighth time on Sunday. The charity head shave at The Joiners Arms saw Kenny go under the shaver once again to raise £760 between two good causes dear to local people. The first is an appeal to buy Bideford girl Emily Carey a disabled bath spa, so that her parents Rebecca and Phil can bathe her as she gets older. The event was organised by Janice Rugford and also raised funds for her chosen good cause, the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Borneo. Janice will be visiting there soon to help out with the care of orphaned orangutans at the sanctuary. A packed pub looked on as Kenny gave up his locks.Click here to return to our homepage for more North Devon news.
