The Bideford Round Table has raised nearly £3,000 to provide holidays of a lifetime for children with serious illnesses and disabilities.

Bideford Round Table raised a total of £2,900 for the North Devon Children’s Holiday Foundation at its charity golf day.

The charity has so far taken 155 children with serious illness of disabilities on 18 separate holidays, and the monies raised from the Golf Day will help fund the charity’s next trip.

The annual day is a popular event for golfers of all levels and this year attracted 21 teams and was supported by many local businesses.

Alex Dziurzynski, of Bideford Round Tabl, said: “The charity golf day was a great success.

“It’s always a popular event in our fundraising calendar and this year we had more teams than ever taking part.

“A big thank you goes out to all those who supported the day and helped us raise such an incredible amount of money for The North Devon Children’s Holiday Foundation.”

Housebuilder Redrow was the main sponsor of the day, stumping up £650 for the cause.
