Bideford Rotarians will have fun on the water

BIDEFORD Rotary Club is holding the Bideford Water Festival on Sunday, July 19, with the action starting at 2pm
Last year the newly revived event was a huge success, attracting crowds of more than 5,000 .
This year there will be even more to see during the action packed afternoon.
There will be displays from both the in-shore and Off-shore lifeboats as well as the Air Sea Rescue Helicopter from RAF Chivenor.

Merlin, who was a semi-finalist in"Britain's Got Talent" has promised to perform his most daring escape to date.
The gig races will take place followed by the "Miller and Sweep" flour fight under the Bideford quay fountains. The tug of war will again be a great spectacle along the quay.

The day will conclude with the now famous Sedan chair race around the pubs. This year there are more teams than ever keen to provide the carnival atmosphere. This year proceeds will be for Local RNLI, Help the Heroes, North Devon Hospice and charities supported by Rotary.
