A BIDEFORD man is in intensive care in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth after falling 40 feet from the Iron Bridge in Exeter on Saturday night.
Liam O'Flaherty, 24, suffered serious head and other multiple injuries in the fall.
He was rushed to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, but then transferred to Plymouth.
A motor mechanic, Liam works at his father Peter's business Bideford Autos at East-the-Water. His aunt Shelagh Ware told the Gazette that Liam, a keen car enthusiast, was walking across the bridge with his friends when a car parked below caught his interest. He leaned over to take look and slipped.
