POLICE in Bideford are appealing for help from the public after a 17-year-old local girl was assaulted by a man on a bus.
The incident took place on the evening of Saturday, March 13, when the girl was travelling alone on the 8.05pm bus from Barnstaple Bus Station to Appledore via Bideford Quay.
The victim was allegedly accosted by a man who is described as being in his late 30s, 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in tall, with short dark hair, stubble and green eyes. He was wearing a dark top with parallel green stripes, dark trousers and trainers.
The girl was not injured.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was travelling on the bus or who was present on the quay in Bideford when the bus arrived at around 8.30pm.
