Bideford gears up for carnival weekend

The procession will parade around the town on Saturday evening.

BIDEFORD Carnival will be kicking off tomorrow (Saturday) celebrating ‘History from Around the World’.

The procession, which gathers at The Pill, will leave to make its away around the town at 6pm after the floats at judged.

This year’s Carnival Queen, Devon Butterworth, will be the star of the show, escorted by attendants Emily Glover, 14, and Jasmin Short, 12; Fairy Queen, Evie Taylor and flower girl, Erin Parker.

Anyone wishing to take part in the parade can still pick up an entry form from Morrisons’ customer service desk or Radford’s Newsagents on the Quay.
