Police have confirmed the death of a 29-year-old man in Bideford is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers released an appeal for information after the man was found dead at an address in Pynes Lane on Wednesday evening.

Yesterday (Thursday) they said the death of the man was being treated as ‘unexplained’ while enquiries were ongoing into how he died.

However police have now confirmed the death is not thought to be suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

The man’s next of kin have been informed but formal ID is yet to take place.
