FREEZING cold cows near Bideford have been getting cosy thanks to staff at nearby Parkham Farm.

Following what has been one of the coldest winters on record, the "udderly" freezing conditions have been affecting milk supplies.

The farm, producers of Pilgrims Choice cheddar, has come up with a novel idea to produce "udder-warmers", in a bid to motivate its herd!

Members of staff have been busy knitting hundreds of thick, woollen warmers to ensure production is kept at full stretch.
