A PUBLIC inquiry is to be held into an appeal against Torridge District Council's refusal of planning permission for the proposed development of a retirement care village on land at Raleigh Hill, Bideford.
The appeal has been lodged by Marchamont Ltd, which is proposing the development of a village of 84 care home and independent living apartments together with social, wellbeing and communal facilities.
A Government inspector will hear the appeal at Bideford Town Hall on September 22, starting at 10am.
Members of the public may attend and, at the inspector's discretion, express their views.
