Can you help make a feature of unsightly scaffolding around Bideford café?

From banners to bunting - the owners of a Bideford café need your help to jazz up some unsightly scaffolding around their building.

Tess and Kazz Robinson-Lane, who own Café Collective in Grenville Street, are hoping the public will help them decorate the scaffolding.

Tess said: "We spoke to the crochet group who come here regularly about some yarn bombing, but the scaffolding is only there for three weeks.

"We weren't sure if this could be done in time, so now we're asking people to help us decorate it with bunting, flags, banners or anything colourful."

The scaffolding has been erected for work on the flats above the café, and Kazz and Tess hope decorating it will fit their creative theme.

Kazz added: "We've chatted to the landlord and Sid Little, who owns the scaffolding, and they are both happy for us to go ahead.

"We don't want anything too low hanging or anything blocking our light, but apart from that we'd love to see what people come up with.

We're a community café - and now we want the community to get involved and have fun with it."
