Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident in Bideford in the early hours of Saturday morning to come forward.

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Bideford which left a victim with a broken jaw.

The incident took place between 2.30pm and 2.50am on Queens Street in Bideford, on Saturday (July 24).

The victim, a 20-year-old local man, sustained a broken jaw and was left unconscious following the assault.

It is believed that he was assaulted by an older man.

Detective Constable Adrian Wroe, from Bideford CID, said: “We are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.

“There were a large number of people in the area who were leaving Caesars nightclub in nearby Jubilee Square; we believe that a number of these people may have witnessed the fight or could hold information vital to the investigation.”
