This year New Year’s Eve revellers in Bideford can expect to celebrate music through the decades on December 31.
Bideford has announced its New Year’s Eve theme will this year be ‘music through the decades’.
The event hopes to see thousands of revellers packing the quayside for an evening of entertainment before the big midnight countdown to see in 2017.
Phil Morgan, of Bidefors Festivals Committee, said: “Plenty of choice for your fancy dress, perhaps if you’re planning on attending as part of a group, you could all come as characters from the hit musical, Grease, Freddie Mercury, Dolly Parton perhaps…I wonder if even Elvis might make an appearance at this year’s event?
“We’ve goody bags kindly donated by Tescos of Bideford, along with other prizes for the best or most innovative fancy dress, the only question that remains is, who will you come dressed as?
“Don’t forget, we’ve a few local suppliers of fancy dress for any last-minute additions, as well as a pop up shop which is usually located on The Pill in Bideford and opens between the Christmas and New Year period.”
Funders Fancy Dress will be popping up on The Pill at the Bideford Blues club from Monday, December 28 until Thursday, December 31.
