THE police are seeking a missing Bideford charity box after a passer by reported seeing a young man breaking one open.It occurred on January 13 at 4.40pm near the library and the offender was described as being about 19-years-old.A subsequent police patrol found a few coins and paper seal thought to be from a yellow Marie Curie Cancer Care collection box."So far the theft of such a box has not been reported so we're asking shops and businesses in the area to double check and contact me if they think the box was theirs," PC Sarah Ray."I'd also like to hear from anyone who was in the area of the library that afternoon and saw the man, or indeed anyone with any information.
