VOLUNTEERS in Woolacombe braved the elements on Thursday to give the beach a tidy in time for Easter.Fifteen volunteers - including eight pupils from Pathfields School in Barnstaple, two holiday-makers from Birmingham, and Woolacombe residents - joined National Trust area wardens to collect 15 bags of rubbish on the windswept stretch of beach.The clean-up was part of six-day series of National Trust-organised beach cleans taking place on 27 beaches in Devon and Cornwall in the lead-up to the holiday period.
