Battered Creme Eggs a hit at Combe Martin chippy

A sugary Easter delicacy is being offered at the newly reopened Top Chippy in Combe Martin – in the form of battered Cadbury’s Crme Eggs!

New proprietors Darren and Helen Bolton opened for the first time on Friday and their novel treat is already proving surprisingly popular.

“We’re looking forward to a cracking Easter as we welcome all our new customers,” said Darren.

“We already ell battered Mars Bars, so we thought, why not Crme Eggs?”

The couple, who have lived in the village for several years, have reopened with a new look and a new menu, that includes all the chip shop favourites, using sustainable local fish, beef and produce.
