A Barnstaple woman has been fined after police found a large quantity of drugs in her home.Bridy Lilly May Mallows, 23, of Grosvenor Court, had 375 diazepam tablets and a small quantity of cannabis. Police also found five MDMA tablets, a class A drug, in a Kinder Egg package. Mallows said she self medicated with diazepam for her depression. The court heard she had packaged the drugs into weekly portions after buying a bargain bulk lot because otherwise she would be popping them like Smarties. Magistrates imposed a conditional discharge for six months and fined her a total of £120 plus a £20 victim surcharge.
