Fire crew frees man after early morning accident at Seven Brethren

AN employee at Tesco Extra in Barnstaple has been taken to hospital with crushed fingers after getting them stuck in a bread machine.

Fire fighters had to release the man from the machine after being called to the Severn Brethren Bank store at 3.30am this morning (Friday.)

He was taken to North Devon District Hospital by South Western Ambulance Service, where his injuries were not found to be serious and he was back at work later that day, a Tesco spokesperson said.
