Poundstretcher to open branch in Roundswell next week.

DISCOUNT retailer Poundstretcher is to create 19 new jobs in Barnstaple with the opening of a new superstore in the town.

The new shop in the former Staples store at the Roundswell Retail Park will be officially opened by Deputy Mayor Val Elkins at 9am on Friday, December 6.

The first 50 customers on the day will each receive a free £10 voucher to spend in the store.

Nikki Dunn, store manager, said: “We are delighted to open this store. I’m sure shoppers will be amazed not only by the vast range of products that we sell but also our low prices, you are sure to find a bargain.

Founded in 1981, there are now more than 400 ‘original value’ stores in the UK operating under the Poundstretcher brand, employing more than 6,000 people.
