Newport practice gets the seal of approval from Care Quality Commission

Litchdon Medical Centre at Newport in Barnstaple has been rated as ‘outstanding’ by watchdog the Care Quality Commission.

Ruth Rankine for the CQC highlighted the ‘exceptional’ standard of care and said: “Feedback from patients was overwhelmingly positive and many commented that staff went above and beyond their level of duty.”

Practice manager Sharon Bates said: “We are delighted to be rated as an outstanding practice.

“This recognises that as a practice we always do our best to put safety and quality first, whilst offering as friendly and helpful a service as we can.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our patients and all our great staff who help to make Litchdon the practice that it is.”
