Lisa Wallis of ChemoHero has been shortlisted in ITV’s Good Morning Britain Health Star Awards

Barnstaple's Lisa Wallis of ChemoHero has been shortlisted as a finalist for ITV's Good Morning Britain Health Star Awards.

She has been selected for the Community Health Star category and will find out if she has won at a special awards night in London's Rosewood Hotel on Monday (April 24).

Lisa, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, set up ChemoHero - Kindness in a Box to take boxes of treats and useful items to North Devon people undergoing chemotherapy.

Lisa said: "This has been a positive way to tackle cancer by helping others.

"I hope the boxes help patients to see beyond the cancer. I am passionate about ChemoHero and very proud of how the community have supported me to make it such a success."

Good Morning Britain viewers can watch highlights of the show from 6am on Tuesday, April 25.

Lisa has also received a community award in the 2017 Inspiring People Awards organised by North Devon Against Domestic Abuse (NDADA).
