This is the third time Custom House has put on the 15 Shades of Bacon burger, but this year it has upped its game as the film trilogy comes to an end, and has made it Five Shades Porkier. From bacon-infused cream cheese and smoked bacon rashers, to baconaise, bacon crisps, and even bacon-dusted chips, this burger is not for the faint hearted. As well as the 15 popular toppings from previous years, the five new ingredients this year are: pulled pork, bacon jam, crispy pork belly, a bacon cheese sauce, and a bacon and cheese croquet. Custom House owner Matt Spencer said: When we first opened we did a few crazy things, but since then our burgers have grown, which is why we wanted to make this one five shades porkier. Its the last film so its probably going to be the last time we ever do this burger, though we never say never. Were running the burger throughout the whole of February and its limited to just five a night, so people are advised to pre-order. As with previous years, 20 per cent of the profits from the burger will be donated to North Devon Hospice. Weve always supported the hospice because when my Mum was in there they took really good care of here, added Matt.
