Barnstaple Race for Life launch

NORTH Devon women are being invited to do something amazing by signing up for Cancer Research UK's Race for Life 2009 and raising money for research to help more people survive cancer. The charity is also asking them to pass on the invitation to friends

Barnstaple Race for Life launch, family and colleagues now that entry to the Devon events is officially open!Barnstaple Race for Life takes place at the Seven Bretheren Bank on Sunday, July 12 at 11am.Others are taking place at Killerton House, Broadclyst on July 5 and Westpoint Arena, Clyst St Mary, on July 19Last year over 7,500 women across the region walked, jogged or ran in the events and raised an incredible �345,000-plus for the work of Cancer Research UK.Race for Life is the UK's largest women-only fundraising event series. Women of all ages and fitness levels are invited to sign up for the 5k event and join together to walk, jog or run to raise money to help beat cancer.Hannah O'Donnell, Race for Life Area Event Manager for Exeter and North Devon, said: "We hope that everyone will accept our invitation to do something amazing by taking part in Race for Life. Women of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes join in. They motivate and inspire each other to complete the 5k course.
