A POLICE dog handler on routine foot patrol in the Newport area of Barnstaple arrested a man on suspicion of theft from vehicles in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday). The man was discovered by the police dog, allegedly hiding between two parked cars
A POLICE dog handler on routine foot patrol in the Newport area of Barnstaple arrested a man on suspicion of theft from vehicles in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday).
The man was discovered by a police dog, allegedly hiding between two parked cars and with a head torch and screwdriver on him.
Dean Hawkins, 27, from Barnstaple, has been charged with theft from a motor vehicle.
He was released on bail and is required to attend Barnstaple Magistrates Court later this month.
