LOCAL photographers are being invited to submit their entries for this year's Heritage Photographic Competition, held at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon.The event is open to anyone with a passion for photography - providing the photos are shot in northern Devon, Exmoor or Lundy and have been taken recently.The closing date for entries in six categories - towns and villages; the coast and the sea; characters; landscape; wildlife; and anything goes - is October 20. The competition is open to all age groups, with a special trophy being awarded to the best under 16 entrant.Medals and certificates will be awarded to the best and commended entries in each category, with a perpetual trophy and engraved tankard presented to the overall winner.Cllr Dave Butt, lead member for cultural services (youth & diversity), said: "This exhibition gets bigger and better every year - the standard of entries is amazing.
