MAGISTRATES have granted police more time to question Barnstaple murder suspect Neil Langmead over the deaths of Deborah Jones and Donna St John.

The 40-year-old remains in custody at Barnstaple Police Station after being released from hospital on Wednesday.

Investigating officers were yesterday (Thursday) granted an extension to the length of time they can keep him in custody by North Devon Magistrates.

The bodies of the 35-year-old friends Deborah and Donna were discovered following a house fire at Fort Mead Close in Barnstaple at 9am on Sunday, August 22.
