MEMBERS of Barnstaple Library have a chance to enjoy a slice of the library's 21st birthday celebrations. The library is running a competition to win a special fruit cake made by Keylock Cakes of Kings Nympton, as part of the celebrations.The competition is easy to enter - just guess the number of books on the shelves of the first and second floors of Barnstaple Library on Monday, May 11 (including reference and children's books, large print, but not including CDs, DVD or Books on Tape or telephone directories).Graham Keates, lending librarian at Barnstaple Library, said: "The competition is open to all library members. If you're not a member don't worry you won't miss out. You can join easily by bringing one proof of your name and address to any enquiry counter at the Library.
