THE latest recession-busting business opened its doors in Barnstaple last night (Thursday).
The Gurkha restaurant is officially open to members of the public for the first time tonight; but invited guests packed into the Market Street curry house to sample a selection of Nepalese and Indian dishes at the special ceremony.
Mayor Jeremy Phillips cut the red ribbon with owner Som Bhetwal.
"It's delightful to see another business opening, especially in the middle of a recession," said Cllr Phillips.
