BIG hearted youngsters in Whiddon Valley have been doing their bit to help snow-bound neighbours on their estate.

The Barnstaple children were among thousands around the country able to enjoy a few days off school due to the cold weather. And they made good use of their time by spending five hours clearing snow from paths and driveways around East Park Road.

But it wasn't all work and no play; youngsters used the huge pile of snow they'd cleared to build a snow castle - complete with turrets and a flag!
