THE construction company building the new �44 million Bideford College has been named Best School Contractor at the British Council for School Environments (BCSE) Industry Awards 2009.
Morgan Ashurst is also building a new residential building for Broomhaye's School and Children's Centre in Bideford. The firm, based in Whiddon Walley, Barnstaple, picked up the award at a ceremony at the Emirates Stadium in London on Wednesday night.
Judges commended the firm for building strong relationships with clients and for always putting their customers' needs first.
"We're absolutely thrilled to have won this award," said area director Chris Spear.
