Halifax bank in Bideford is collecting donations for a Christmas lunch for the homeless.

Halifax bank in Bideford is collecting donations of food to support St Mary’s Church with its Christmas lunch for the homeless.

The event takes place on Friday, December 20, from 11.30am until 1.30pm.

Tinned food donations such as corned beef, curry, ravioli or stew are requested or cash donations are also welcome.

Chris Cubbon, of the branch, said: “We thought this is a lovely opportunity to give something back for the community. Every little help makes the world of difference.”
