A 22-month-old baby boy was killed in a three-car crash on the North Devon Link Road on Monday evening.It occurred at 6.15pm, following an earlier single-vehicle collision on the A361 at Gornhay Cross near Tiverton, which left debris across both carriageways.As police dealt with that and waited for Highways crews, there was another smash on the opposite carriageway.The baby was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, but died later that night. A woman involved in the second collision was also taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.The road was closed for several hours and reopened at 1.25am on Tuesday morning.Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to call them on 08452 777444, quoting reference 1069 10/03/08.n A 24-year-old Chulmleigh man died after his car collided with a wall at Kingford in Burrington on Sunday evening.The driver has been named as Paul Foster. His BMW 325i was the only vehicle involved, police have said.
