Parents Sophia Vanhecke and Ben Taylor from Wrafton had urged anyone who saw the horse-drawn carriage passing through the town centre on its way to North Devon Crematorium to blow a kiss to the three-day-old.

Hope-Rose was born prematurely at 25 weeks and sadly died earlier this month at the specialist neonatal unit at Derriford in Plymouth.

The family is having a private funeral at the crematorium this morning but will hold a balloon release for Hope-Rose at noon today at The Cedars at Roundswell.

Anyone who wishes to go along may do so, and either help to release the balloons or take their own balloon along.

Hope-Rose was urgently christened at Derriford with close family called in.

She died on April 9 at 6.59pm as she was held by her mother.
