THE HUNT is on for outstanding young Devon people from all walks of life to be honoured at the second annual Young People's Achievement Awards this summer.Young people aged 13-19 who have made a difference to their own or someone else's life, are being sought for these prestigious awards. They can be nominated by anyone, from teachers and youth workers to friends or family. The awards are organised by the Devon Children's Trust, a partnership of statutory and voluntary organisations that provide services for children and young people. The categories recognise young people's achievements in Healthy Lives, Staying Safe, Education, Participation and Positive Futures. There is also a group category and a Community Award. The finalists in each category will be invited to an Oscars-style ceremony at County Hall in Exeter this summer.Anyone who wants to nominate a young person can fill in a form online at www.devon.gov.uk/youthawards or phone (01392) 383698 for a nomination form.The closing date for nominations is Friday, May 2.
