Atlantic Village shopping centre in Bideford has changed its name as part of a rebrand by its new owners.

The outlet centre in Clovelly Road is now called Affinity Devon, after being bought by international investment company Global Mutual Limited for £13million last year.

The company took over three outlet centres in 2017, and Affinity Devon joins its sister centres in Staffordshire and Lancashire.

To celebrate the relaunch, this weekend the centre put on a number of family activities and events, with craft workshops and children’s treasure trails.

Centre manager Jean Sharples said: “We are thrilled with the relaunch of Affinity Devon and love our contemporary new logo; it really identifies the scheme as an exciting and relevant destination and we saw great feedback from visitors throughout the weekend.

“This is a great opportunity for us to work with the local community and strengthen those ties, which is hugely important to our brand.

“We’re looking forward to more exciting developments so watch this space.”
