Witnesses are being sought after an apparent unprovoked attack outside a Barnstaple takeaway left a man needing hospital treatment. Police say the victim was punched in the face outside Barum Takeaway in Queen Street at around 4am on Friday, August 19 by an unknown attacker. He received a deep wound above his left eye and needed treatment in hospital. The main suspect is described as white, of muscular build and clean shaven, wearing a black jacket over a white t-shirt and blue jeans, with a tribal sleeve tattoo on his right arm.
