A 49-year-old Braunton man received a four inch cut to the back of his head after being assaulted outside the Mariners Arms in Braunton on Sunday night (Feb 21).

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident at around 10.15pm and are particularly keen to speak to a witness in a car which had to stop in South Street while it was taking place.
